Ok not trying to freak everyone out but… there’s only 55 DAYS left until Christmas! I’m actually the world’s worst procrastinator though sooo until we get into the single day digits I won’t really be freaking out, mostly because #amazonprime #canigetanamen. Unfortunately though there’s not much room for procrastination when it comes to sending Christmas cards and planning holiday party outfits. I can’t decide what sucks the most about sending out Christmas cards… finding an outfit, finding time to take the pic, getting everyone to look decent in the pic, or the terrible act of sending them out. #bahumbug Even still, I can’t NOT send them out. And the feeling I get after dropping them in the mailbox is a high I can’t even explain. I’ve never done drugs in my life, but I imagine them to feel something like this.
What I do know for sure though is that my husband’s holiday work party is by far the hardest one to get dressed for. Mainly because he NEVER knows any of the details and in years past has given me 2 days notice for when it’ll be. I kid you not, last year he told me it was a catered event taking place at a posh restaurant in the city (ok he didn’t say “posh” but you get it) and the day before he was like oops just kidding, the party is actually a potluck dinner at my attending’s home. So I needed a whole new outfit AND cook something?! #actualworstcasescenario
And is there anything worse than planning outfits last minute? It never fails, every time I go shopping and I’m READY to spend moolah, I find NOTHING. It’s like no one even wants to take my money. I have a hunch I’m not alone here, so I wanted to come up with an outfit that wasn’t completely basic but was completely cute, safe and multi-functional! If you wanted to dress it up a bit more, this type of top would be sooo cute with a high wasted flowy skirt too. Hope this helps your holiday prep and hopefully you had a not so Monday Monday! More holiday looks will be coming soon!
